Peace with Justice Offering
The United Methodist Church is unwilling to turn a blind eye to injustice. Our congregation lacks the resources alone to effect change in a broken world. Your giving is vital for the denomination to continue its global ministries of reconciliation. Because of the Peace with Justice Sunday offering, the people of The United Methodist Church are able to make a difference together by sowing seeds—and yielding fruit—of peace. Annual conferences keep half of the special Sunday offering to fund local peace with justice programs. The other half goes to the General Board of Church & Society to help fund U.S. and global work in social action, public-policy education, and advocacy. When you give on Peace with Justice Sunday, your gift makes possible our critical kingdom work in the world.
Because you give:
- Young people and young clergy ministries receive support in the Rocky Mountain AC.
- A museum dedicated to Palestinian storytelling art is supported in Maryland.
- Robin Wertz, an ex-convict, found love and support at the Exodus House in the Oklahoma AC.
Please support Peace with Justice Sunday. Empower local Christians around the world to build the kingdom of peace that Jesus ushered in. Special envelopes will be included in the bulletin on June 11th, or mark your gift “Peace with Justice”.
