Here’s Pumpkin to Think About
Our pumpkins arrive this Saturday, October 10 at 9 am, and we need as many volunteers as possible to unload the truck. We will be unloading in a socially distant way, and masks are mandatory. Please lend your time to this important task! If you have heavy duty bins or boxes that can withstand pumpkin weight and dirt, please bring them along to help as we unload the pumpkins using a conveyor belt. Wagons and wheelbarrows will also be helpful. There isn’t a signup for unloading, but if you could let Diane Bartley know you are coming, that would be great (if you haven't already let us know you will help).
Breakfast, with individually packed foods, will be offered beginning at 8 am in the Simpson Room.
There are still lots of openings on the Pumpkin Patch schedule, and we need to fill them. Of a more urgent need are these openings:
This is our largest fundraiser, and in a year when many of our fundraisers have been cancelled, it’s even more important. The Patch will be open each day, 10 or 11 am until dusk. If you’ve never worked The Patch, volunteer with someone else to get on-the-job training, or check with Diane or the office. Here’s the link to volunteer to work The Patch. To sign up, put a checkmark in the time(s) you can volunteer, click the “submit and sign up” button, add your name and email (phone is optional), and click on the “sign up now” button. It’s so easy! If you want to change a time you signed up for, you can create an account and edit it yourself or contact Pam in the office or Diane Bartley.
