The Bradley Center Youth Christmas Gifts
Outreach is coordinating with The Bradley Center to provide gifts for 15 residents. The Bradley Center is a residential mental health treatment facility located in Robinson Township, which treats children ages 6 to 21.
It is extremely important to carefully read the guidelines for gifts that you select, for the safety of the recipient and of other residents. The total spent on the gifts should be at least $50, so you may wish to partner with someone. Many of the children are wards of the state; many children arrive at the center with only the clothes that they are wearing.
Each child’s wish list is contained in a “slot” on Sign Up Genius. You are provided the age and gender of the child, as well as the clothing and shoe sizes. Each child was asked for a gift that they really want and that appears as the first item. Gift card suggestions are also offered; children “earn” the privilege of a supervised trip to stores from time to time. The gift card should not be the sole item, as volunteers will wrap the gifts so that children have something to open for Christmas.
Use this link to access Sign Up Genius (Gift tags will also be available in the sanctuary on Sundays, or call the church office or Martha Boward at 724-457-0708 to sign up).
Unwrapped gifts marked with the child’s name and code must be brought to church by december 12th. The church is open from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm M-F and on Sundays from 8:30 am to noon, with the office open until 4:00 pm on Wednesdays and Fridays. Contact Martha Boward for other drop-offs.
