Did you know that we have devotional booklets available to you on a table in the back of the sanctuary, as well as a table just inside door #6? They are called The Upper Room. They cover two months at a time and have a mini-devotional for each day of those two months. They are short, but they are powerful. Part of what makes them so powerful is that they lead us in engaging God’s word through the eyes of different authors from all over the world. They are intentionally diverse in their writings. What also makes them powerful is that you can be assured other siblings in Christ, both those you know and don’t know, are reading the same thing as you on the same day. I have heard countless stories of the way an author from a totally different part of the world spoke directly into people’s lives. It’s as if the Holy Spirit plays a part in all of this. Of course she does!
