Mignon McVicker Emmert
Mignon McVicker Emmert passed away peacefully on July 8, 2023, in Louisville, Kentucky, where she had lived since 2009. She was a month shy of being 102. Her loving husband of 48 years, Kenneth Rawlings Emmert, preceded her in death.
She was a longtime and faithful member of Sewickley United Methodist Church and loved her church family, where she always greeted people with her special, infectious smile.
She is survived by numerous dear relatives and friends near and far. She enjoyed keeping in touch by writing often in her beautiful handwriting.
Beside gardening, playing bridge, reading, and jigsaw puzzles, she was always working on needlecraft projects to give to others.
She loved people and entertaining and had, on many occasions, memorable meals and parties in her home.
She was a role model to many and will be greatly missed.
She has been cremated and will be buried in Sewickley Cemetery next to her husband, mother, and sisters. The date has not been determined, but probably in the summer of 2024.
If desired, contributions in her memory may be made to the Sewickley United Methodist Church or the Sewickley Public Library.
