Thanks Giving
Dear SUMC family,
The Fellowship of the Cross would like to offer profound thanks for all you have done to encourage, accommodate, and support our projects through recent weeks and months. Thank you, for the 14th consecutive year, for partnering with us in Operation Christmas Child. We provided more than 140 boxes to the campaign this year. We are grateful for everyone who contributed gifts and participated in our packing party, and we would like to thank Kandace for all the time and energy she invested in the packing party. We would like to thank Kara, Elliett, and Evarett for wrapping 100 boxes for us. We’re grateful for Diane and the Pumpkin Patch volunteers who helped us place boxes in the hands of the community. We had our biggest response ever (40+ boxes) from people in the community.
Thank you for partnering in our annual “care packages” for college students. They will receive those boxes, stuffed with candy and other treats, in the first days of December as they are preparing for fall semester finals. Thank you for partnering in our first attempt to provide Christmas cards to military personnel. We, with a big boost from the Children’s Church kids, contributed more than 40 cards.
Throughout all of it, we appreciated the support and encouragement of the Pastor Hannah, Elizabeth, Ray, Erik, Leap of Faith, the Leadership Board, and dozens of others who are willing to partner with us. And, as we completed this year’s OCC drive, contributions for next year began arriving. Thank you for that enthusiastic nudge into the new year of ministry!
With love,
Grace Rogansky, Pamela Mayo, Bill Utterback, and The Fellowship of the Cross youth
Thank you so much for all you do to make the Cookie Walk a success. From your baking, working, and buying, you always come through. All of you make it possible to raise the money we do for the general fund. Again, thank you for being the church family you are and being there every year.
Love,
The Consolis
The Sewickley Food Pantry extends heartfelt thanks to all who donated to this year’s Thanksgiving food drive. We collected enough food to give over 20 families a full Thanksgiving meal.
