We’re looking for changemakers—people who like to help others, improve the world, and think with their hearts—to attend our 2023 Community Vacation Bible School, sponsored jointly by Sewickley United Methodist, St. Matthews AME Zion, and St. Paul's Lutheran churches.
Anyone interested in helping create a plan for VBS decorations this year is invited to a meeting at Sewickley UMC on Thursday, June 8, at 7:00 pm, in the Simpson Room.
Beginning August 13, we will be holding New Member classes.
Sunday, May 21st, will be the final morning of the 2022-2023 Children's Church school year. Following tradition, the children will be planting flowers around the church during their time together during the 9:00 and 11:00 am services.
The Children’s Church, May 14, 11:00 am service will be cancelled so that our children can be with their mothers and celebrate in a special way (shhhhh)!

The young people in the Fellowship of the Cross, anticipating Vacation Bible School, posted that question on a bulletin board in the Simpson Room. The responses they’ve found pinned to the board are inspiring.

The Education team is hosting an Easter egg hunt between worship services on Easter. Children through fifth grade are invited to participate. Friends, family and guests are welcome to join us.

The SUMC Education team is collecting prizes—candy and small toys—for our 2023 Easter Egg hunt for the children.
The deadline to apply for the United Women in Faith National Scholarship for lay women is April 18.
Lent is a season of preparation for Easter that lasts for 40 days, not counting Sundays, that spans from Ash Wednesday until Easter.
Our records indicate the following church family members will graduate in May/June.
