Pastor Russel is hosting the 14th Annual Church Family Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, November 16 at 6 pm. Go here to RSVP online (be sure to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the RSVP form) or complete the form in the back of the sanctuary. RSVPs are due by Sunday, November 10. A free will offering will be accepted at the dinner to help offset the cost of the dinner.
All are invited to the 3rd Annual Hay Ride & Bon Fire this Saturday, October 5, at Sandy & Bill Kuriger's home from 6 to 9 pm.
Facilitated by Keystone United Methodist Federal Credit Union, and hosted by Sewickley United Methodist Church, the workshop will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is no cost to attend, and lunch will be provided. Register now.
Our annual picnic is THIS SUNDAY, June 2, with our friends from the St. Matthews AME Zion church at Walker Park, shelter #3. Hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken wings, drinks and paper products will be provided. Setup begins at 12:30. We will break bread at 1:30 pm.

This Sunday’s Lenten Program begins at 6 pm when teams representing Leap of Faith, Youth, Clergy, and Monthly Luncheons will face off in our 6th Annual Church Family Feud. The covered dish dinner begins at 5 pm. Please bring a side for the table.
As we enter Lent, we will be watching Wild, a true story in which the main character embarks on an inner journey of the heart. Everyone is welcome as we gather in the church parlor on Saturday, March 9 at 6 pm. (The film is rated “R” for violence, profanity & nudity.)
Tuesday, February 19, at noon, all ladies are invited to come in fellowship as we celebrate birthdays for friends and family. Bring your lunch and loose change for Miss Eleanor, our piggy bank.
Rachel Boward needs Plastic Jug Rings and Toilet Paper Tubes for a cat toy project with her Pitt service organization. Please put in the collection box (Narthex or Simpson Room) by February 24th.
There will be a continental breakfast on Sunday, 9:45 to noon in the Simpson Room. If you’re participating in Secret Pals, you will receive your Pal’s name at that time.
Everyone is welcome as we gather in the church parlor to watch and discuss “Breaking Away” on Saturday, January 12, at 6 pm. The 1979 American coming of age comedy-drama film is in the top 10 on List of America's 100 Most Inspiring Movies compiled by the American Film Institute.
Don Thomas passed away on December 29. A funeral service and luncheon will be held here at the church tomorrow, Saturday, January 5. Don’s obituary follows.
Everyone is invited to the adult christmas party, today, Saturday, December 15, 5 pm, at the home of Belinda and Doug Resler (1300 Beaver Rd, Sewickley). Bring a dish for the buffet. Also bring a white elephant gift (something you already have or costing about $5) for the exchange.
Pastor Russel has members of our church family who are in financial need this Christmas season. If you are able, please give cash donations to Pastor Russel for him to share with these families and help make their Christmas a little brighter.
Everyone is welcome as we gather in the church parlor to watch & discuss “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” on December 8th at 6 pm. The 2018 documentary is about the life and guiding philosophy of Fred Rogers, host and creator of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.”

Everyone is welcome as we’ll gather in the church parlor tomorrow, Saturday, November 3 at 6 pm to watch & discuss “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner,” a 1967 American comedy-drama film starring Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier and Katharine Hepburn.
Calling all youth in grades 6-12! The SUMC Youth Group is planning a trip to the West Hills Escape Room on Saturday, Nov 17th, for a fun night of team building and problem solving followed by some fellowship time at Eat n Park afterwards.
Hallmark Cards started “Clergy Day of Honor” in 1992. Pastor Appreciation Day is the second Sunday in October, and all of October is known as “Pastor Appreciation Month.”

In order to offset costs of our camps and retreat centers, WPAUMC churches are asked to take a special Camping Sunday offering. The Bishop’s Camping and Retreat Initiative has also launched, with the campaign coming to local churches beginning in January 2019.
