The Christmas Eve service will be online at 4 pm on December 24. The current restrictions don’t allow us to gather to worship in person. However, you may join your church family as we carol for the community from the church lawn at 6 pm on Christmas Eve. Dress festively, and wear a mask. We will socially distance and sing for about 20 minutes.
Pastor Hannah is working on finding a safe way for us to gather for Christmas Eve. Let’s help adorn the chancel with poinsettias for Christmas, whether we worship online or in person. Each 6 1/2" plant is $10 and orders are due by Tuesday, December 8. You may order online here.
Thanks to everyone for their patience as we’ve been working out the bugs in our live streaming setup. It’s been a complicated process to get all the AV inputs, new software, and networking issues resolved, but I think we’ve got it all working now.
Don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour before you go to sleep tonight. We’ll be streaming live tomorrow at 10:00 am. Don’t miss it!
On November 1, we will be honoring loved ones who have passed on since last year’s November 3 remembrance service. If you lost a loved one in the past year, please let the office know so we can honor your loved one during this special service.
While we thought we had addressed our streaming issues Wednesday night, we obviously still have some work to do. We’re sorry for the poor quality of the worship stream this morning. The video of the full service was recorded and is now available online for anyone who wishes to view it.
The worship service will be live streamed beginning this Sunday, October 4th. That means when you tune in at 10 am via sewickleyumc.org, YouTube, or Facebook, the service will be happening as you watch it. Only the worship participants will be present in the sanctuary.
We have heard from many people regarding questions of when we will return to in-person worship. The answer remains the same: we cannot say with certainty when that will happen. A couple of things have to take place before we can begin to discern a timeframe.
Maybe you feel like everything is spinning out of control. How did it come to this? It’s never too late; never too far for Him to reach you. He’ll find you in the hurricane. Much love from Leap of Faith!
