On June 4th, SUMC will celebrate Peace with Justice Sunday. We are called to love our enemies, seek justice, and serve as peacemakers. The United Methodist Church is committed to leading social transformation.
On Sunday, May 28, we will observe Memorial Day, a time in which we remember fallen heroes who faithfully served our country in its 247-year history.
The Children’s Church, May 14, 11:00 am service will be cancelled so that our children can be with their mothers and celebrate in a special way (shhhhh)!
Our pets are a blessing to us, so let us gather together and bless them! Join us on May 7, at 9:00 am or at 11:00 am.
This United Methodist-wide Special Offering on April 23 bolsters the work of Native American ministries in annual conferences throughout the United States.

On Sunday, March 12th, we will be celebrating 20 years of the handchimes and handbells music ministry at Sewickley UMC, with music from the SUMC Clocktower Ringers, the Jr. Clocktower Ringers, and the Rainbow Ringers.
To sponsor flowers to adorn the chancel on Easter, you may order online here on or before Wednesday, March 29.
We will join together with other churches at Sewickley Presbyterian February 22 at 7 pm.
There are two groups for children to participate in the handbell ministry at SUMC.
During Lent, we will gather to worship with our siblings in Christ at St. Matthews AME Zion, St. Paul’s Lutheran, and Sewickley Presbyterian churches.
Please sign up on the clipboards (in back of the sanctuary) to serve as an usher or greeter during upcoming 11:00 am services.
If you accepted membership on a church committee, changes are effective with the new year. The January newsletter lists all of the church committees and their membership.

Calling everyone who loves to sing: We are looking for people to form a choir for the 7:30 pm traditional service on Christmas Eve.
On November 27th, we will celebrate UM Student Sunday. United Methodist Student Day invites the church to support United Methodist students in achieving their educational goals.
On November 6th during both worship services we will recognize the saints who have passed from among us.
This Sunday, we partner with UMC congregations worldwide to celebrate World Communion Sunday.
