SUMC is an active church in our local community and in missions around the world. Here’s what’s going on.
We have three new growth groups starting this month. The Bible’s YES to Same-Sex Marriage begins June 4th. Cultural Diversity Training happens June 13th in preparation for our English as a Second Language course, and Emotionally Healthy Discipleship kicks off June 17th.
On Saturday, June 15 from 9:00 – 10:30 am, SUMC’s Outreach Committee will provide volunteers for the weekly produce distribution in Northview Heights.

The crochet/knitting group is excited to announce a new mission project of making prayer shawls (both traditionally masculine and feminine) for a local Hospice.
United Women in Faith (UWF) women thank all of you who made our Spring Rummage Sale for Missions a huge success.
Fellowship of the Cross will be collecting coloring books and crayons, puzzle books, and activity books for hospitalized children at Heritage Valley Sewickley.

Bi-Annual Safe Sanctuary Training will be held on June 22nd and/or July 20th. Both days will be from 10:00 am until noon.

We are participating in the Pittsburgh Pride Fest by hosting a table at the festival on the Northside on May 30 and 31st, as well as the parade on June 1st.
St. Paul’s United Methodist Church’s Working for Justice (WFJ) group will be traveling to Harrisburg to participate in CeaseFirePA’s Advocacy Day to End Gun Violence on May 7, 2024.
All women are invited to lunch on Friday, May 31st, at the Christy House in Sewickley.
