In a recent conversation with a woman of great faith, she mentioned how God sometimes likes to have a little fun with her. She went on to tell a couple of stories that involved some very simple and fun activities that she felt like God had arranged for her to engage in. I thought a lot about this afterward and wondered how often I think of God as fun. Do you ever think of God as fun? With all the hurt and bad things in this world, do you feel guilty for having fun? Sometimes, I wonder if God would like to tell us all to just lighten up a bit. Can Christian responsibility, following Jesus, and having fun co-exist in the same space? I believe they can; we just need a little reminder, sometimes, that it is indeed ok to have a little fun!
