Stop dwelling on that!
I heard a simple but powerful commentary on change one time. In a conversation between two people who hadn’t seen each other for a while, one person said, “You changed.” The other person responded, “We’re supposed to.” Sometimes we spend so long dwelling on something that happened, on something someone else did, on a place we are currently in, that we forget we are a people who are made for movement. Yes, sometimes we are called to be still and remember who God is but not for so long that we become dependent on our plight as an excuse for where we are. Stop dwelling on that, and start moving in the name of God who calls you on.
