In this week’s message of “The Bible said what?” we will take a look at what seems to be permission to own slaves and a commandment for those slaves to be obedient to their masters. Though slavery has been abolished in our nation, some still seek to force others to live under the system of oppression that, harmfully using this scripture, has built up in our nation. The Bible clearly upholds the structure of master and slave, so how is that scripture meant to speak to us today?
