Nothing Dared, Nothing Gained
If you haven’t figured it out, the month of October is about turning fortune cookies into statements of faith. It has been a fun exercise to filter a faith perspective through all areas of our lives. This fortune cookie, “Nothing dared, nothing gained,” reminds me of faith itself. Faith is not a passive part of our lives, but is shown by the way we live our lives. It is shown by the steps we take to follow Jesus, even when it is difficult, trusting in him for the outcome. If you never live like you have faith, your faith will never grow, deepen, or aid in being a powerful part of your life. Faith not followed is the following of fear.
