We have finally arrived. We are at the end of Psalm 84. We have been on this journey so long, it feels like we have come to the end of our time. But that is the funny thing about the end: it is really the beginning. You see, when people are “slipping away,” they are really “sliding towards.” When we make the statement that people have “been gone” for a year, they really have “been home” for a year. That is what the Psalmist is saying. Though it might feel hard here, those who are in the presence of God are truly happy, because it does not stay hard, and we will find our way home.
