At this point last year, SUMC participated in the Float the Boat fundraiser for At The Lake Ministries. In recent weeks, the Jo-ann M was put into Lake Erie for some required tests, and the ministry team continues final preparations to get the boat ready for its passengers and awaits Coast Guard approval. At The Lake Ministries, conceived in 2016 to serve individuals with special needs and their families, will launch in mid-summer 2018, offering fishing/boating experiences on Lake Erie.
