Now through early September, Sewickley UMC will be collecting donations of unopened packages of diapers and baby wipes. Jewish Children and Family Services (JCFS) assists refugee families as they arrive in the USA and as they transition to their new lives here.
The Outreach Committee invited a JCFS representative to its July 31st meeting. After hearing about the refugees and immigrants that JCFS has helped and continues to assist, the Outreach Committee agreed that SUMC would seek ways to partner with JCFS. The diaper and wipes collection will be the first effort. Please consider purchasing a package of any size diaper and/or baby wipes. A collection box will be in the narthex for your generous donations. You may read about JCFS on its website.
