To help patrons of the food pantry prepare Thanksgiving dinner, Outreach is asking that you fill a grocery bag with the non-perishable items that are traditionally used at Thanksgiving. Please take a bag with “grocery list” attached (see display table in sanctuary)—some are for small families, some for larger families. Purchase the items listed, and return the filled bag to church. Thanksgiving Bags must be returned no later than November 17th. Monetary donations are needed to purchase Giant Eagle gift cards so that the families may purchase perishable items. Mark those gifts “Thanksgiving Bags” and include with your regular offering or use EasyTithe.
FOOD PANTRY THANKSGIVING BAGS GROCERY LISTS – Print out at home and attach to your own bag.
THANKSGIVING BAG – SMALL FAMILY – Serves 2-4 people
All items must be non-perishable.
2 can vegetable 1 muffin or roll mix
1 can fruit 1 package/box stuffing mix
1 small can pumpkin or pumpkin pie mix 1 can cranberry sauce
1 large or 2 small boxes of Jello 1 can evaporated milk
1 small can yams/sweet potatoes 1-2 cans or jars turkey gravy
1 small box instant mashed potatoes
THANKSGIVING BAG – LARGE FAMILY – Serves 5-8 people
All items must be non-perishable.
4 cans vegetable 2 muffin or roll mixes
2 cans fruit 2 cans cranberry sauce
1 large can pumpkin or pumpkin pie mix 2 packages/boxes stuffing mix
2 large or 4 small boxes of Jello 2 can evaporated milk
1 large can yams/sweet potatoes 2-3 cans or jars turkey gravy
1 large box instant mashed potatoes
