UMCOR is generally one of the first agencies to respond to disasters in the USA and around the world, and it is generally one of the last ones to leave a recovering area. That work is only possible through our generous giving to UMCOR.
UMCOR has issued grants for early response needs to Annual Conferences that experienced severe weather losses in Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Texas. Assistance is also being provided to those affected by the fires in the West/Northwest USA. In conjunction with partner agencies, UMCOR has also been assessing needs in Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, and Mexico—areas also affected by recent severe weather.
