Sewickley UMC is collecting Easter Bags for the food pantry. You are asked to take a bag with the grocery list attached, purchase the non-perishable items, and return the filled bag with the list attached. In addition, SUMC is accepting cash donations in order to provide each family with a Giant Eagle gift card, with which the family may purchase perishable items such as ham and eggs. Completed Easter Bags and cash donations are needed by Sunday, March 21st, as the food pantry’s last distribution before Easter is on March 24th. Grocery bags with lists will be available in the back of the sanctuary and outside the church office. You may include your cash donation with your regular offering or via EasyTithe—please indicate “Easter Bags”.

Easter Bag – Small Family – Due March 21st 

All items must be non-perishable. Quantities should be to serve 2-4 people.

  • 1 muffin or roll mix

  • Cake mix

  • Can of icing 

  • Small bottle of vinegar (for dyeing eggs)

  • 1 dozen plastic Easter eggs

  • 2 cans of vegetables

  • 1 can of fruit

  • 1 large or 2 small boxes of Jello

  • Boxed potatoes (mashed, scalloped, au gratin, etc.)

  • Egg dye kit

  • 2 bags of Easter candy

All items must be non-perishable. Quantities should be to serve 5-8 people.

  • 2 muffin or roll mixes

  • Cake mix

  • Can of icing 

  • Small bottle of vinegar (for dyeing eggs)

  • 4 cans of vegetables

  • 2 cans of fruit

  • 2 large or 4 small boxes of Jello

  • 2 boxed potatoes (mashed, scalloped, au gratin, etc.)

  • 4 bags of Easter candy
