UMCOR is continuing its work to relieve distress in many parts of the world. It is actively providing direct relief—including food, water, shelter, and medical assistance—to Ukrainians who remain in country and to those who have fled to other parts of Europe. Methodist pastors who remain in Lviv and Kharkiv are helping to shelter and care for displaced persons with UMCOR’s support (“Advance #982450-Ukraine”). In the United States, UMCOR is supporting Afghans and other refugees who are being resettled here. It is also responding to many disasters such as western wildfires, flooding, and tornadoes in the midwest and is preparing for hurricane season response efforts (Advance # 901670 – US Disaster Response and Recovery). Information about UMCOR’s full range of programs is available at umcmission.org/umcor. Donations to UMCOR may be made with your regular offering or by EasyTithe (please mark your donation UMCOR, and add the name of the project) or at the UMCOR website.
