As Christmas in July approaches, the Fellowship of the Cross team has inventoried our Operation Christmas Child contributions and compiled a wish list for our summer Santas. Christmas in July has become our most important collection day of the year. Here’s what we would like to see under the Christmas tree in the sanctuary when we gather for worship on July 21:
notebooks (6”x8” to fit in small shoebox)
colored pencils
pens
glue sticks
stuffed animals
T-shirts
balls
hair accessories
washable markers
rulers with a metric edge
wash cloths
socks
jewelry
miniature cars and trucks
small toys
Pencils and crayons are also welcome. We have reached our goals for scissors, sunglasses, toothbrushes, large erasers, and pencil top erasers. Sewickley United Methodist, through the Fellowship of the Cross, has filled more than 1,400 shoe boxes over the past 13 years. Our boxes have reached children in Ukraine and multiple nations in Africa, South America, Central America, and the Caribbean.
Church family will be invited to our packing party in September.
