August 18th at 4:00 pm, we will have a joint outdoor service with the churches of Sewickley Presbyterian, St. Matthews AME Zion, St Paul’s Lutheran, and SUMC followed by a picnic.
SUMC is the host site for “Rich Zahrobsky’s Praying for a Miracle Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser” on Sunday, August 27th, 1:00 to 5:00 pm.
On Saturday, October 22nd at 5:30 pm, join together for a fellowship dinner in Asbury Hall followed by a lecture with opportunity for Q&A with Keegan Osinski at Baldwin Community UMC

SUMC is providing 200 grab-n-go dinners for the patrons of the Center For Hope in Ambridge on Thursday, April 29.
Our church family is joining with St. Matthews AME Zion, St. Paul’s Lutheran, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, and Emsworth United Presbyterian Churches for dinner, fellowship, and services on Sunday evenings during Lent. Sunday’s potluck dinner (6 pm) and service (7 pm) are at SUMC.
Ash Wednesday dinner and worship will be observed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 26, at Sewickley UMC, when we come together with St. Matthews AME Zion, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, and Emsworth Presbyterian Churches. The evening will begin with our traditional meatless meal at 6 pm; please bring a meatless side dish or salad to share. Fish and macaroni and cheese will be provided. The service will begin at 7 pm.
Tickets for the dinner are on sale now — The cost is $12 per adult and for takeouts. Kids’ dining in, ages 4-10, are $5, and under 4 are free. Seating times are 5 and 6 pm, and takeouts are available 3:30-6:30 pm.
When there is a 5th Thursday in a month, SUMC serves a hot buffet to approximately 150 people at Center for Hope, an outreach ministry in Ambridge. We are serving this coming Thursday, January 30. Pastor Russel is hosting the 14th Annual Church Family Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday, November 16 at 6 pm. Go here to RSVP online (be sure to click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the RSVP form) or complete the form in the back of the sanctuary. RSVPs are due by Sunday, November 10. A free will offering will be accepted at the dinner to help offset the cost of the dinner.
On Saturday, October 12th from 5-7 pm, SUMC will serve a public dinner to kick off autumn, and we hope you will come. Bring friends for a traditional, homemade roast pork, sausage, and sauerkraut dinner with potatoes, Haluski, homemade desserts, and beverages.
This Sunday’s Lenten Program begins at 6 pm when teams representing Leap of Faith, Youth, Clergy, and Monthly Luncheons will face off in our 6th Annual Church Family Feud. The covered dish dinner begins at 5 pm. Please bring a side for the table.
Church Family Feud returns for the 6th year as part of our Lenten Program on April 7. This year, the 4 teams are Youth, Clergy, Leap of Faith, and the Salad Luncheon crew. To prepare for Church Family Feud, 100 people need to be surveyed. Please fill out the survey here.
We will be offering Kids Night Out as part of Sunday evening's Lenten Dinner program. The children, ages preschool through fifth grade, will join their families and the church family for dinner in the Simpson Room at 5. At approximately 5:45, we will gather the children who want to join us for a Bible story, craft, activity and prayer. The children will then rejoin their families in the sanctuary for the final songs in the hymn sing.
Our Lenten fellowship on Sunday evenings begins this coming Sunday, March 17. We meet for dinner at 5 pm and a program at 6 pm. This week’s dinner theme is “St. Patrick’s Day” with the UMW serving as dinner hosts and providing Irish Stew. Please bring a side, salad or dessert to share. The program on March 17 is a hymn sing.

We are having a fellowship meal after the 11 am All Saints’ Service on Sunday, Nov. 4, and everyone is welcome to attend. Please bring a dish to share. Meat and beverages will be provided.
