This is the first year SUMC will serve a public dinner to kick off autumn. Please come on Saturday, October 6th from 5-7 pm. Bring friends for a traditional homemade roast pork, sausage, and sauerkraut dinner with potatoes, Haluski, homemade desserts, Bavarian pretzels, and beverages.
Saturday, September 29, at around 10:00 am, the pumpkins arrive! As you know, many hands make light work, and we need as many able-bodied souls as we can get to unload our precious cargo and turn our church lawn into a sea of orange.
The UMW is holding a rummage sale in the church basement on Friday, September 7, 5 - 8 pm, and Saturday, September 8, 8 am - 1 pm. All proceeds go to missions—local, national and international.
Please mark your calendar for Thursday, September 6, 11 am—1 pm, when a new season of community luncheons begins.
The Fellowship of the Cross is hosting a free car wash from 10 am until 2 pm this Saturday, August 4, in the SUMC parking lot. Financial donations will be accepted, and everything contributed will be applied to our 2018 Operation Christmas Child project.
Thank you for supporting our fundraiser and helping pay down the building loan. If you placed an order in May, it will be ready for pickup this Thursday during the luncheon, Friday during the day, or Sunday, June 10.
Our June Luncheon is this Thursday, June 7, from 11 am to 1 pm. Proceeds support the General Fund. Please consider donating your homemade salads for the salad luncheon, as we have been low on donations.
The women are looking for extra helpers for the Rummage Sale this weekend.
The United Methodist Women (UMW) will host a Rummage Sale on Friday, May 11, from 5 PM to 8 PM and on Saturday, May 12, from 8 AM to 1 PM.
Thank you for supporting our fundraiser and helping pay down the building loan. This Sunday, April 22, is the deadline to place orders for May 3 – 6 pickup. Order forms are on the posters in the sanctuary and Simpson Room. Soup choices are Stuffed Pepper, Wedding, and Lentil Soup (vegetarian/vegan) and Sandra’s Hummus.

Putting our offerings of cash or checks in the plate during worship service is a long standing tradition that is still welcomed. However, we recognize that this method does not work well for everyone. Sewickley UMC is now set up to use EasyTithe. This service allows our members, friends, and visitors to give to the church and other ministries using a computer or smart phone.

Bring on the bars, the drops, the pizzelles,
The chips, the sprinkles, the snowmen in white.
Bring on the buckeyes, the M&M’s, the ladylocks,
All yummy to the very last bite.
