The most compelling prayer I heard this week came from one of the children in my K-1-2 Sunday school class. When offered an opportunity to pray, the children instinctively turn to thanksgiving. Emilia, a kindergartner, eyes closed, head bowed, hands folded together, focused completely on Him and not her restless classmates, offered thanks for food, family and friends. Then she finished with one of the most eloquent obervations ever …
“Thank you, God, for making everything better.”
Moving forward, I may add that thought to all of my prayers.
