Please consider joining other members of our SUMC church family at 7 p.m. Sunday (May 3) for “Unmuted II,” an informal, conversation-driven virtual gathering through the Zoom app. The Zoom app is free and easily managed through phones, laptop, and desktop computers. It allows us to see and hear each other simultaneously. Our first Zoom gathering included a hopeful poem by Emily Dickinson and stories about mystery pizza, virtual soccer practices and days spent in our pajamas. The gathering was flavored gently with scripture and prayer.
Unmuted II may feature discussion prompts such as “What would Jesus say to us right now?” Or, “What’s the one item of clothing—yours or a family members—that you would like to burn when our isolation ends?” All are invited to come with discussion prompts. Friends and families are welcome. If anyone wants to provide a song, or lead us in song, your initiative will be vigorously embraced. For more information, or to receive a Zoom link, contact Bill Utterback.
