We invite all to join together for our church-wide Lenten study. Our book study will be “John: The Gospel of Light and Life” by Adam Hamilton, starting the week of February 21st. The Gospel of John is the most spiritual of the four gospels. It is filled with rich images and profound truths, but John notes that his aim in writing the gospel is that readers will not only believe in Jesus Christ, but that they “may have life in his name.” It is a great book for a Lenten Study! Our adults, youth, and children will experience spiritual growth by participating in Adam Hamilton’s 6-week, DVD-series with companion book, “John: The Gospel of Light and Life” led by our SUMC Growth Group Leaders. We will follow the life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus through the Gospel of John and understand the context of some of the best known verses in the New Testament.
