Almost 5 years ago, the Soup & Hummus Sale was started by Donna Sawhill, Sandy Kuriger, Sandra Lane, and Pam Honeychurch to help raise funds to pay down the debt on the sanctuary loan. 100% of the proceeds are applied to the principal on the sanctuary loan. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who have made soup through the years (Donna, Sandy, Pam, Rhonda Coles, Jenine Furry, Pat Grossarth, Bill Kuriger, Jr., Jeff Moore, Susie Moffett, Belinda Resler, and Nancy Shuluga) and hummus (Sandra), and to the many wonderful supporters of this sale, in February 2021, we quietly passed the $20,000 milestone. Indeed, we’ve reduced the loan by $20,000!!!

I’m going to celebrate with a bowl of soup and some hummus! Will you join me?
