On June 28th, the mask mandate was lifted in PA. Since we have been following the CDC recommendations and the Bishop’s Office, we also are lifting our mask requirement. However, this does not mean we stop caring about the health of those around us. Please continue to do all you can to minimize the spread of germs. If you are around families with children, remember they cannot yet get vaccinated, and be sure to social distance from the children unless the parents permit otherwise. In addition to door #6, door #2 (the main sanctuary entrance) will also be open beginning July 4th. Thank you to all for helping to keep one another safe during this past year and for continuing to do so!
A very special thank you goes out to Chris Jezzi, our church custodian, for caring for us during this past year. He altered his work schedule so we could open back up and put the best sanitization efforts forward. As we go back to a familiar operating schedule without the necessity of super-cleaning bathrooms and pews between use, his schedule will go back to a Monday through Friday schedule. We also want to thank Pam Honeychurch, our church secretary, for her constant presence and work during the pandemic. Though the doors of the church might have been closed, the work of the church not only kept on going, but increased in the necessary administrative care. Pam continued to serve our church faithfully the entire time. Thank you both for your commitment, flexibility, and steadfastness during the ups and downs of the pandemic.
Finally: please be aware, the risk of contracting COVID-19 will still be present among us. As we loosen the restrictions, please continue to care deeply for the health of those around you, and remember we are all still in different places in our comfort and safety levels.
