Please be advised that I-79 northbound will be closed entirely beyond Exit 64 starting Friday, July 9th at 9 pm and remain closed until Monday, July 12th at 5 am. All traffic will exit at the Coraopolis Exit (Exit 64) and proceed north on SR 51 through Coraopolis to the Sewickley Bridge. Traffic will be detoured across the Sewickley Bridge and south on SR 65 to the I-79 north entrance ramp at Glenfield. Please be patient, and use caution if traveling in the detour route. I-79 southbound will be single-lane on the Neville Island Bridge. The Neville Island Exit off of I-79 will be open during the weekend. Plan accordingly, as there will be significant traffic congestion. A similar closing will occur three more weekends this year, but dates have not been disclosed to the Borough.
