The new flag on the church flagpole is a gift from Barry Lewis and his sisters, Sylvia Gledhill and Brenda Isner. The flag was presented to their mother, Virginia, at their father’s memorial service in November 1969. Their father, Howard Lewis, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. The flag was raised on the church flagpole on June 14th, Flag Day.
