Laity and clergy are invited, Jan. 24, 9 am – 4 pm, to build skills to recognize, respond to, and support someone who is experiencing a mental health challenge or crisis. Each participant will receive a mental health first aid manual and workbook, plus a snack & lunch will be provided. This class will be taught by certified MHFA instructor Karen Slusser. The Pittsburgh District UMC is covering most of the costs but is requesting a $10 fee per person to help offset the cost of books and food.
