Do you know what free Community Zoom VBS means?
Hey Parents and Grandparents! We would like to invite your children and grandchildren to an exciting Virtual Bible School! All are welcome from anywhere, as this is virtual!
We are so excited about our new virtual VBS – UPRIGHT: TAKE ACTION! This year, we invite all children and grandchildren to follow the church on this new adventure.
We regret that due to the resurgence of COVID-19 cases in our area, we have decided to cancel our plans for Vacation Bible School this year. Even with the extra measures we were planning to take, we’ve decided that it will be best to not put our children and volunteers at any risk.
Join us on an adventure to the Knights of North Castle as we explore the Quest for the King’s Armor. Our knights will discover how God’s strength empowers them to accept the call to wear the Armor of God as they live out a call for truth, justice, peace and a life of faith with God.
This Sunday, June 28 at 11:30 am, everyone is invited to attend a VBS Planning Meeting in the Simpson Room. Lisa Jankowski will facilitate, and representatives from other churches will join us, as we are planning a community VBS. Key topics include: VBS themes, decorations and food, participation of other churches, assignment of roles, and next steps.
Christianbook.com is teaming up with bestselling author, Louie Giglio, with a FREE online Bible study starting May 12th! Based on Louie Giglio’s bestselling book, “Goliath Must Fall,” this Bible study aims to teach you that it’s not the height of the giant that matters – but the size of our God! For more information and to register, click here.
On Easter Sunday, we will hold a Sunday school class for the kids over Zoom at 11 am in order to let them celebrate together and see their friends. Parents are encouraged to pick up a goodie bag for each child through 5th grade from the box at door #7 by the church parking lot. The goodie bags will be available from Sunday, April 5 at 2 pm through Friday, April 10. Each bag will contain some eggs for a mini Easter egg hunt, sidewalk chalk, and other goodies for the kids to enjoy. Email Susie.fhnc@gmail.com for the zoom link or more information on how to participate!
Ms. Susie will post a Sunday school lesson, geared to preschool, but available to everyone, on the church homepage and YouTube channel each week we are not able to meet in person. Encourage your kids to watch, and feel free to share with friends and family!
The celebration of Black History Month began as “Negro History Week,” which was created in 1926 by Carter G. Woodson, a noted African American historian, scholar, educator and publisher. It became a month-long
celebration in 1976. February was chosen to coincide with the birthdays of Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln.
Sunday School classes officially begin this Sunday morning at 10 am, with classes for every age: preschool through high school, as well as 2 adult classes. Class content ranges from stimulating conversations about the Bible, to contemporary Christian issues, books, and videos. Bible stories, crafts, skits, songs, and games are often utilized to convey the message in our elementary classes. Please join a class!
Bible Study begins on Wednesday , September 11, with “When God Doesn’t Fix It” by Laura Story. Is it possible
that good things can come out of our broken dreams?
I found Jose as I stepped away from an opening prayer asking God to lift the first-night anxieties from our first Community Vacation Bible School in early August. I was nervous. I wasn’t sure we were prepared. So many new faces. Could we provide what they were expecting? Could we provide what He was expecting?
Sunday, September 8th is designated by Western PA Annual Conference for this special offering which supports the educational ministries of the Conference, which include Training and Resources and Laity Scholarships.
