While the world continues to struggle with the COVID-19 crisis, UMCOR continues to respond to natural disasters in the USA and around the world.

Red Bird Mission would welcome items such as Upper Room devotions, Guidepost magazines, and other, similar devotional items to include with their food boxes given to local families.

We are collecting individual servings of snacks for the Women’s Center and Shelter (crackers, cookies, nuts, breakfast bars, fruit snacks, individual cereals, granola bars, etc.).
Holy Family Institute has had a unique volunteer opportunity arise. They expect to receive 80 migrant children, ages 3-12, as part of the response to the crisis at the border. The Federal Government is working directly with Holy Family Institute to make the accommodations.
This Crafton based interfaith ministry assisting homeless families with children hopes to resume regular operation in June.

While regularly a source for those with food insecurities, GPCFB has been serving greater numbers during the COVID-19 pandemic. SUMC has sent financial contributions to GPCFB to aid in that service.
BHA has been relocated to the church next door that once housed the Church of Our Savior congregation. Tutoring is the focus at this time, as many children have had little instruction since March due to the many challenges of COVID era schooling. School supplies are needed. During February and March, SUMC will accept donations
