Kids! Join us to be a part of An Incredible Christmas for our kids pageant this year.
Don’t forget, we return to Standard Time Saturday night. Set your clocks “back” so you don’t come to church too early on Sunday.
Wear your costumes to church this Sunday! During both services, there will be an opportunity for the kids to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF.
On October 14th, at either service, your well-behaved pets on a leash or in a carrier may receive a blessing.
On this worldwide day of unity, the offering benefits World Communion Scholarships, the Ethnic Scholarship Program, and the Ethnic In-Service Training Program.

We want the LGBTQ+ community to know that they are beloved children of God and a cherished part of our church family. Please join us as we celebrate Pride Month with a special Diversity Service Sunday evening, June 24th, at 6:00.

This Sunday, May 27, we will observe Memorial Day, a time to remember fallen heroes & recognize our veterans and veterans of the Sewickley Valley.
We want to recognize you for your service and sacrifice on May 27. If we don’t have your photo, either in uniform or civilian clothes, please bring your photo to the office for scanning, or send it to secretary@sewickleyumc.org.
If you would like to help adorn the chancel with red geraniums for Pentecost Sunday, please complete an order/dedication form. Orders are due this Sunday, May 13. Order forms are in the rear of the sanctuary and for your convenience, available as a downloadable PDF.
We will celebrate Heritage Sunday this Sunday. As we gather for fellowship after the 11 am service, we will celebrate this year with the theme of common foods.
If you would like to purchase flowers to adorn the chancel on Easter Sunday, please complete an order form. The order form can be downloaded here and will also be included with the announcement insert on Sunday. This Sunday is the deadline to place an order.
Due to a number of factors impacting costs, our flower vender has increased the cost of altar flowers to $50. This change will take place in April. If you’ve signed up to sponsor flowers in April or later and wish to change your mind, please let the office know.
Daylight savings time begins at 2 am on Saturday, March 10. Don’t forget, or you might be late to church on Sunday!
Ash Wednesday will be observed this coming Wednesday, February 14, at St. Matthew’s AME Zion Church (345 Thorn St, Sewickley).
Ash Wednesday dinner and service will take place on February 14th. Dinner is at 6:00 with the service at 7:00. Please take a dish for the buffet table.
