The Sewickley United Methodist Church will celebrate the Class of 2022 during the worship services on June 12. Best wishes to our graduates as they start a new chapter!
If you are 11 years of age (or soon to be) or older, you are invited to come and learn about why church… why Jesus? Our time together will be structured as a time of learning and a time of fun, with snacks of course! We will meet every Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm for 6 weeks beginning June 16th.
If you’ve heard about Creation Music Festival or thought about attending in the past, but weren’t sure it was for you, consider viewing Creation’s “Tribute to our Creator” Facebook livestream event starting on Friday June 26 at 6 PM and continuing on Saturday June 27th at the same time.
All Sewickley SUMC youth, those who have been participating in youth group with Susie and Johnathan, and those who want to connect, are invited to an informal Zoom gathering at 1 p.m. Sunday to share and laugh and pray, and possibly play some games.
WINTERJAM is coming to PPG Arena on January 18th, and SUMC will be there! Tickets are $15 at the door, and the concert features many artists, including Crowder. We plan to meet at the church parking lot at 4 pm on the 18th and car pool into the city. Feel free to meet us at the concert if you need to come later that evening. From December through June, there are a lot of exciting events happening for our youth! Join us for Winterjam, SPARK, Creation Fest, and other fun, spiritual activities.
We are off to a great start for the year and have lots of upcoming activities.
The SUMC Youth Group will be meeting on the second Sunday of each month (generally) from 1:00-3:00. All teens in 6th-12th grades and encouraged to come participate in the discussion, games, and general fun.
Come support the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC soccer team as they host Loudoun United FC for a Faith and Family night on Aug 23rd. Tickets are $18, and a portion of the funds will be returned to the SUMC Youth Group!
The SUMC Youth Group is going to kick off our year with a lock in on Aug 24-25. All youth going into 6th to 12th grade are invited to come at 7:00pm on the 24th for a night of games, planning and of course, Oreos. We will attend the 9:00 service together as a group on the 25th, and youth can be picked up at 10:00am. Contact Susie Moffett for more information or to sign up!
