UMCOR has issued an initial grant for emergency supplies to help survivors recover belongings.
The Fall 2023 Pittsburgh District Lay Servant Ministry School is offering the classes listed below to help laity respond to their personal call in ministry and the life of the church. Each class is being held on different dates, allowing you to take more than one class if you wish. All classes, except From Your Heart to Theirs, have the option of attending in person, hybrid, or online. There is a $15 fee per class, plus you need to purchase the class book(s). The United Women in Faith (UWF) will host a sale on Friday, September 8, 1:00 – 7:00 pm, and Saturday, September 9, 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at the church.

SUMC will observe Disability Awareness Sunday on August 20th.
We just wrapped up a wonderful week of VBS. We taught many kids, preschool aged through middle school, how to be disciples of Jesus Christ by being a Changemaker! Thank you to all who volunteered to bring this important message to life.
Children’s Church, during the 11:00 am service, is looking for 1-2 adult leaders and 1-2 assistants, each serving once a month.
Sunday at 4:00 pm, a community worship service and picnic hosted by the congregations of St. Matthews AME Zion, St. Paul’s Lutheran, Sewickley United Methodist, and Sewickley Presbyterian will be on the lawn of the Faith House located at Sewickley Presbyterian.
