Do you remember when you had your first kiss? Do you remember when you held your baby for the first time? Do you remember when you got accepted into the college of your choice? Do you remember when your team won a game? Do you remember when…? Some memories are precious and worth hanging onto. Those are the ones we capture with pictures, video, songs, or even newspaper clippings. We do what we can to make sure we won’t ever forget. In this way, the Psalmist pleads with God to not let him forget the Lord’s instructions, because they are words of life. Do you remember when the Lord spoke your name? Let’s remember together that which will take us beyond our passing years and into an eternity to come.
