Do you have any responsibility to any other person on this planet? Do you have to follow a set of laws and moral guidelines in your daily life? Do you punch in and punch out at work every day? These are all questions that make us think about the notion of freedom. Is anyone really free? The truth is none of us are free, and none of us should be free. This life is not worth living unless we are living it in relationship with other people. Too often we value independence when really it is interdependence we were created for. Life with Christ means freedom from sin and death, but it also means responsibility to the other. That is a dependence worth fighting for!
