Some of the most encouraging words you can hear in scripture are, “and it came to pass.” What this tells us is that the things that have once been told came true. The words that once had been spoken unfolded right before our eyes. The promises that God has made continue to stand thousands of years later. And it came to pass, God is still good, and God’s words are still true! There is no reason to wait till December to celebrate the life-giving gift of Christ that came to pass one day for us in Bethlehem. Together we shall remember.
