Breathe out God
Have you ever tried holding your breath for so long that when you finally let it out, it doesn’t just gracefully wheeze out, but it sputters and forces its way out of your mouth? In Psalm 23, the Psalmist tells us that in the presence of God, our cups run over. When we are intent on filling our lungs with the breath of God, there is no way we can keep it all contained within. Eventually, whether with intent or not, we will find ourselves breathing out God.
