Obvious statement alert: breathing is necessary for life. For most of us, breathing doesn’t take any thought at all. It is just something we do. It is just the way our bodies were created to function. Breathe in, breathe out. There are times, however, when breathing can become a challenge. We could breathe in too much pollution or too many harmful germs and find ourselves struggling with each breath that we take. Thankfully, there are safety measures put into place to help minimize the risk to breathing in things that are not good for us. In the same way, there are steps we can take in order to minimize the danger posed not just to our lungs but to our heads, our hearts, and our very souls. Step 1. Breathe in God.
