Expect the Unexpected
Predictability, decisiveness, and knowing exactly where you are going; these are attractive qualities in anyone’s life. They scream stability and dependability. Yet, in the newness of life that was being established through Jesus Christ, nothing was as people thought it should be. A Savior was longed for: a King who would overthrow the government, an almighty and powerful army that would be behind him every step of the way. Yet, these are not the things that changed the world on that special day. Instead, a baby was born to us, the Son of God was given to us, and we were taught to expect the unexpected and to believe the unexpected would be good. Faith was born on Christmas day.
