The crowd doesn’t always have it wrong, but often, the crowd doesn’t even know exactly what is going on. It is easy to get caught up in the hype and energy that follows a crowd around. This energy can lead us to do things we never would do if we stopped to think about it. We find this crowd mentality over and over again in scripture. As Jesus enters into Jerusalem to prepare for the cross, a crowd of people praise him. As he gets closer to the cross, that same crowd of people is found cursing him. How can we separate from the crowd to be sure we are in the right place?
