Our children and youth will re-visit tradition by planting flowers around the church campus on May 19, the final morning of our 2018-19 Sunday school year. The Fellowship of the Cross and the Education Committee will again host the event. Anyone who would like to contribute trays of flowers to the event can leave them outside the door nearest the playground prior to May 18. Financial donations toward the purchase of flowers can be made to Pamela Mayo, Bill Utterback, Andrea Lewis or any member of the FOTC team. Children and youth, as well as any church family members who would like to join us, should dress appropriately for digging in the dirt, and for the weather, on May 19. You are encouraged to bring your own gardening tools. We will gather near the playground at the end of the 9 am worship service and plant flowers on the playground, Thorn St. and Broad Street sides of our building. At 11 a.m., the FOTC youth, and anyone who would like to join them, will plant flowers around the Union Aid apartment building at the corner of Broad St. and Centennial Ave.
