Children of all ages are invited to join the children’s ministry team for an Easter Egg Hunt between worship services on Easter morning (April 17).
On Sunday mornings in September, beginning September 13, the SUMC Education Committee will provide special programming for students in kindergarten through 5th grade during the 9 am contemporary worship service. There will be similar programming during the 11 am worship service.
Starting the week after Easter and continuing for 6 weeks (end of Children’s Church is May 16), we will be focusing on Animals of the Bible during Children’s Church.
The Bible holds the stories of two varieties of heroes, those who respond to God’s call, like Noah and Moses and Mary, and those who volunteer. Enter Nehemiah.
After spending a month visiting Old Testament heroes, Ms. Laura leads us into the New Testament to spend time with Thomas in this week’s Children’s Church lesson, which will be live-streamed Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
This week, a royal boy king chooses more of God and a servant girl shares God as Mr. Bill uses two Old Testament stories to show that young people can also be heroes.
Between services this Sunday, September 8, there will be a covered dish breakfast. Please bring a breakfast casserole, side dish, fruit, or beverage for the buffet. Breakfast meat will be provided. There will be something special to mark this event that you don't want to miss
Our children and youth will re-visit tradition by planting flowers around the church campus on May 19, the final morning of our 2018-19 Sunday school year. The Fellowship of the Cross and the Education Committee will again host the event.
Easter Sunday, April 21 at 10 am – The Education Committee is sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt for all children up through fifth grade. All youth are welcome to help with the hunt.
Anyone 11 or older who has not been confirmed is invited to be part of the upcoming confirmation class. Classes will begin this coming Sunday, February 17, during the Sunday School hour.
The pre-kindergarten through high school Sunday school classes will re-visit tradition by planting flowers on the church grounds next Sunday, May 20, the final day of our 2017-18 school year.
The Education Committee is inviting all children to an Easter Egg hunt between services Sunday at the church.
When: Easter Sunday, April 1st, 10 am
Where: Meet in the Simpson room
Bring: Your own basket or collection bag
What: Supervised hunt and activities.
Sunday School will kick off its new year with classes for all ages this Sunday, September 10th, at 10:00 am. Everyone, preschool through adult, is welcome to join in study, discussion, and fellowship.
The Fellowship of the Cross youth will lead this year’s Sunday school flower-planting event this Sunday, May 21, the last morning of the Sunday school year. Everyone is invited to join our children and youth classes as we plant flowers around the church property during the Sunday school hour.
