There are two groups for children to participate in the handbell ministry at SUMC.
It is our mission to bring comfort and to offer the church’s grace through the symbol of prayer blankets and pillows and know that the Lord’s spirit of love will embrace all who receive them.
During Lent, we will gather to worship with our siblings in Christ at St. Matthews AME Zion, St. Paul’s Lutheran, and Sewickley Presbyterian churches.
Everyone is invited to the 2023 World Day of Prayer, Friday, March 3, 1:00 pm, at St. Matthews AME Zion Church (Walnut & Thorn Streets) followed by tea and refreshments.

Fellowship of the Cross sponsors two girls in Zimbabwe through The Nyadire Connection. To help pay for their school fees this year, we are selling candygrams before and after services January 29th and February 5th.
Our sister church, St. Matthews AME Zion, is hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast Saturdays in February, 8:00 am – noon.

Jack Morrow peacefully passed away last night and is now in heaven reunited with Tanny. He was a member of SUMC for 60 years and leaves behind a great legacy. He was part of The Greatest Generation and served in the Marine Corps during WWII. His family plans to have a memorial service for him in the spring.
