All good things must come to an end. Those are some of the saddest words we have heard strung together. We don’t like it when good things come to an end. Sometimes there is a great let down following a particularly enjoyable vacation. Sometimes you try to think of every possible thing to talk about because you don’t want to let the person on the other end of the phone go. Jesus’s disciples tried almost everything they could to stop Jesus from his arrest, trial, and crucifixion. Though he had prepared them for these moments, they were not ready to let the good thing they had in Jesus come to an end. This week, we are going to explore the beginning of the end of the greatest man to ever walk this earth. However, this end does not lead to disappointment, but instead to something better.
