Just because a person cannot legally be owned as property by another does not mean that they are free. Just because it is no longer legal to whip and beat persons of color does not mean it doesn’t happen anymore. Just because we are told to not judge by outward appearance and that God only judges according to the heart does not mean we always succeed at this. If we believe freedom is a God-given human right than we must fight for it, and it is a fight we must not stop. Join us as we remember how we can be a part of this worthy battle.
